BUILD AND DESIGN:

The Redmi 9 Power has a matte design and is made of polycarbonate. They are offering quite a few color variants including Mighty Black, Blazing Blue, Fiery Red, and Electric Green. They also claim that it has a nano coating that will protect the phone from splashes. The back houses a quad camera array and Redmi branding, while the front has a display with a waterdrop-style notch. They have also added rubber gaskets and anti-corrosion ports for added protection against water.

SCREEN:

It houses a 6.53-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, providing a screen-to-body ratio of around 83.4%. The panel has 400 nits of brightness and 395 ppi of density. In addition, it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

PERFORMANCE:

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor is the brain of the smartphone which is an 11nm CPU combined with Adreno 610 GPU. It is an octa-core processor with 4x 2.0 GHz Kryo 260 Gold and 4 x 1.8 GHz Silver 260 cores. phone comes with 4 GB of RAM in both storage options.

SOFTWARE:

CAMERA;

The back of the phone has four cameras with the main lens of 48MP with f/1.8 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 120° field of view, 2MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture and finally a 2MP camera with an f/2.4 aperture lens. This setup can record video at 1080p at 30 fps.

The front of the phone houses an 8MP f/2.0 selfie shooter lens. It will also record video up to 1080p at 30 fps.

BATTERY:

This is where I think the phone got its name as it houses a mammoth 6000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Xiaomi will provide a 22.5-watt charger out of the box and will also support reverse charging.

OTHERS:

It supports LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage type on the base model, while the high-end model has UFS 2.2 type storage, has USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer, headphone jack, IR blaster, stereo speakers, 4G dual SIM support, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, FM radio, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi and all other necessary sensors.

The base variant comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (₹10,999) and the high-end variant has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (₹11,999).
