Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi will launch its TV products in India on March 17. The brand has been sending out the launch invitations for them. Xiaomi India CEO Manu Kumar Jain recently posted a trailer announcing the launch of Redmi TVs in India.
“Last year, our Redmi brand took a big step forward in its journey into new categories,” Jain said during an event. “We started our phone-plus strategy and launched many new product categories, such as power banks, TWS, and the fitness band. And this year, in 2021, we are proud to present something bigger, ”he added.
The Redmi TV invitation suggests that the brand will bring an XL experience to viewers with the new Redmi TVs. While no specs or screen sizes have been hinted at yet, it looks like Redmi will be launching multiple sizes, at least one of which could be an oversized TV.
The Redmi TVs will be different compared to the Mi series of TVs in India. Since the new products are launched under the Redmi brand and not under the Xiaomi brand, we believe that the new televisions could be inexpensive additions to the brand’s line of televisions.
Bigger better? No, let’s go straight to XL! 🤩

Xiaomi has already been launching a range of Redmi TVs in China, its home country, and the brand could bring some of these variants to India during the March 17 launch. The brand also recently launched a large 86-inch Redmi TV in China alongside the K40 smartphone, but it is unlikely to launch in India at the moment.
We should wait for Redmi to reveal more details about the upcoming Redmi TVs in the coming days, perhaps closer to launch on March 17th. People will be able to watch the launch live on the Redmi India YouTube channel.
