Ademola Lookman propels Atalanta to Coppa Italia Final

Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman delivered a stunning performance late in the game to secure Atalanta’s triumph over Fiorentina, booking a Coppa Italia final showdown against Juventus.

In a thrilling encounter, Atalanta, trailing 1-0 from the first leg, wasted no time in leveling the aggregate score, with Teun Koopmeiners finding the net just eight minutes into the match. Despite Fiorentina holding more possession, Atalanta remained dangerous in attack, with Gianluca Scamacca narrowly missing an opportunity to extend their lead.

The game took a turn in Atalanta’s favor when Nikola Milenković was sent off for a foul, but Fiorentina unexpectedly regained the lead on aggregate with a goal from Lucas Martínez Quarta. However, Atalanta quickly responded, with Scamacca’s acrobatic effort restoring parity.

As the game entered its final moments, Lookman stepped up for Atalanta, scoring a crucial goal to put them ahead. Mario Pašalić added another late goal, sealing a resounding 4-1 victory for Atalanta and securing their spot in the Coppa Italia final.
