Every season is an interesting one when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys.

With the team coming off of three consecutive 12-win seasons but no NFC Championship Game appearance and with quarterback Dak Prescott scheduled to be a free agent next year, this Cowboys team is going to be one to watch from here on out.

Fox Sports’s Craig Carton had this to say on The Carton Show Wednesday morning about what Owner Jerry Jones will do with his team in the future.

“He’s telling you he’s breaking the team up…Don’t sell me as a fan that if I keep Dak Prescott here long-term with another big contract, it makes me have to get rid of CeeDee Lamb and Micah Parsons.”

Jerry Jones and Co. might be approaching a crossroads.

Quarterback Dak Prescott will be looking for a new deal in 2025.

Star receiver CeeDee Lamb and star edge-rusher Micah Parsons are each looking for major deals at some point too.

Jones will have to decide if this team can truly win a Super Bowl with those three cornerstone pieces, plus other key players like Trevon Diggs, Zach Martin, and DeMarcus Lawrence.

There is no question that Dallas is a good regular season team.

Mike McCarthy is a good, experienced head coach.

The question is whether or not this team can win in the playoffs.

Jerry Jones needs to think about that question before handing out any sort of big payday.

But like Carton said too, if the rival Eagles can pay their best players together all that money, the Cowboys should be able to make that work also.
