The NFL draft is an exciting time for fans.

It’s an opportunity for their favorite franchise to make a massive move, one that could determine their trajectory for the next ten-plus seasons.

While this might be an exciting time of year for fanbases, it’s equally as terrifying and stressful for GMs, especially newer ones.

They are tasked with making the final draft decisions for a team.

If their picks pan out well, those GMs are seen as geniuses, but if their picks end up as busts, especially for players taken in the first two rounds, they are heavily questioned by ownership and the fanbase.

There is a lot of chatter surrounding this year’s draft, especially since there are several marquee quarterbacks in the class.

For a quarterback-needy team like the Minnesota Vikings, this quarterback decision is a big one.

Dianna Russini recently highlighted the top five GMs who have a lot at stake in this draft, naming Kwesi Adofo-Mensah as the No. 1 GM on the list.

“Three years into his regime, his Vikings are 20-14, but without a playoff win,” Russini said via The Purple Persuasion.

In her mind, if Kwesi Adofo-Mensah doesn’t nail the right players in this draft class, his career in Minnesota might be a lot shorter than many people thought.

GMs are judged by results, and if Adofo-Mensah’s teams don’t start winning soon, he might be shown the door quickly.

The Vikings were steady under Kirk Cousins’ leadership, so it will be interesting to see how they play under a new quarterback, presumably a rookie.
