Analyst Says 1 NFL Team Is Having ‘The Saddest Offseason’

Usually, after a team wins 12 games but doesn’t win the Super Bowl, they try to be aggressive the following offseason.

In this particular instance, Dallas has won 12 games in three consecutive seasons.

However, they haven’t made many big moves after losing in the wildcard round to the Green Bay Packers.

One could argue that they have had more losses than additions.

This is why NFL analyst Ross Tucker thinks this particular offseason is one of the saddest in franchise history.

“This is probably the saddest offseason I’ve ever seen them have…The owner says they’re all in and their actions say they’re all out,” Tucker told viewers Thursday on the Ross Tucker Podcast.

The Cowboys have lost some notable pieces this offseason.

That includes future Hall of Fame left tackle Tyron Smith, Pro Bowl running back Tony Pollard, Pro Bowl inside linebacker Leighton Vander Esch, and defensive coordinator Dan Quinn.

They have not acted like a team that is ready to go win a championship.

It almost feels like NFC teams with less wins from a year ago in the Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Philadelphia Eagles are doing more than what Dallas has done.

Sure, Jerry Jones has signed veterans in linebacker Eric Kendricks and running back Ezekiel Elliott, but that’s about it for the significant moves.

If Jones is trying to get past the NFC Championship for the first time this century, he is going to have to do more.

The Cowboys will probably win at least 10 games again and make the playoffs this year.

But, they won’t go any further than the divisional round with this team.
