The Chicago Bears have never had a modern offense in franchise history, as they are the only team in the NFL that has never had a quarterback throw for 4,000 yards or 30 touchdowns in a season.
That won’t last much longer if offensive coordinator Shane Waldron has anything to say about it, as he recently made his thoughts clear about what he envisions for this offense now that it has weapons all over the place.
General manager Ryan Poles appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show” today to discuss his new roster and said, “Shane Waldron is gonna do a good job of putting Caleb Williams in a position to be successful,” and added that they are “pumped about all of the weapons that we have.”

Williams will have three outstanding talents at wide receiver in Keenan Allen, DJ Moore, and Rome Odunze, new running back D’Andre Swift, and one of the best tight ends in the league in Cole Kmet.
Fans have been begging for years for this offense to open up, as the Bears have been one of the most old-school organizations in the league that consistently deploys an outdated, run-first offense and conservative passing game.
The Bears haven’t even had a QB throw for 3,500 yards since Jay Cutler in 2015, as Mitchell Trubisky and Justin Fields both turned out to be massive busts unable to save this franchise as many had hoped.
Williams will have every chance to succeed with this new offense and is in a much better situation compared to the teams Trubisky and Fields inherited.
