Carl Radke revealed his and Lindsay Hubbard’s salaries, as his mom and stepdad hinted he was in an “abusive” relationship on Summer House.

The couple – who are now broken up – filmed the season when they were still engaged. They both make money as influencers, by promoting services or products via brand deals.

In a preview for the latest episode, Carl shared that he already earned $70,000 at that point in the summer, “doing paid posts.” He claimed he doesn’t “make as much” as Lindsay, and he believes it’s because “I’m not a woman (and) I don’t have as many followers.”

He also alleged that Lindsay herself made $150,000 at the time.

“The way I interpret it is she’s really worried I don’t have a job. It’s a turn on for her if I have a hustle and a passion, and I feel like I’ve been hustling and I have things going on. I’m working on stuff,” he added. “Like, what has (Lindsay) done? Seriously, what are you doing? Her business is deactivated, but the way she’d (describe) it is her bringing in the brand deals is what her career is. But that’s not a career.”

“I’m not trying to be tit for tat, but it definitely hits my ego; this narrative that I’m not doing anything or not making money,” Carl continued. “It’s kind of ridiculous.”

He then mentioned Lindsay possibly wanting to be a “stay-at-home mom.”

“The way I’ve known Lindsay is this independent, career, badass woman. Now it sounds like she just wants to be a stay-at-home mom and raise the family,” he claimed in his confessional. “And that’s amazing, but I don’t have the wallet right now to support a family and all of a sudden you just stay at home.”

Carl later visited his mom Sharon and stepdad Louas they discussed his current issues with Lindsay.

Carl’s mother eventually asked if he felt ready to start a family.

“Yes and no,” he answered, via PEOPLE. “Ever since (my brother) Curtis passed, it put a big reminder in my head like, how much I care about family. So yeah, like I’m excited about starting a family, but it’s scary.”

She then asked if Carl’s sobriety was a factor in their relationship.

“I’m not trying to tell her or dictate how to live her life,” he shared. “What I always have wanted for Lindsay and hoped that she’s understood, I want her to have a healthy relationship with alcohol. But it’s not all about alcohol. It’s not. She’s not this monster I don’t like, wake up in the middle of the night and catch her pouring vodka into a cup. It’s not like to that degree, and that’s where I struggle with being the dictator in her life and telling her you can’t do that because I have this use.”

Carl shared he “tread a little lightly” around Lindsay when she was drinking.

His stepdad recalled a visit from Carl around Memorial Day, following an intense fight between him and Lindsay. Lou claimed that the relationship at the time “almost appeared to be abusive.”

According to Carl, he seldom opened up about is relationship issues with anyone because “I lived in fear if I shared something and Lindsay found out I was talking about our relationship with someone, that I would get into trouble.”

“If the relationship you have, you’re fearful and it’s not working the way you want it to work, getting married isn’t going to solve that,” the stepdad replied.

Lou, who’s a minister, said he’s declined to officiate certain weddings in the past because he didn’t feel that the couple should get married. “It almost seems that way with you and Lindsay,” he added, explaining that he would not officiate for Carl and Lindsay.

Carl indicated that he didn’t know the next right step. “The train is on the tracks,” he stated.

“I don’t think you’re ready for this, Carl,” said Lou. “And I think if you continue, you’re setting yourself up for a world of pain. But I know there’s a part of you that knows this.”
