For nearly a decade, the Los Angeles Rams haven’t been a team involved in the first round of the NFL Draft, with the storied franchise going all in to compete for a title on an annual basis.

This year, it seems the Rams are taking a different approach to the draft, with the team rumored to want to trade up into the top 10 of the first round, which is a surprising revelation with general manager Les Snead at the helm.

With so many talented young quarterbacks in this draft class, the assumption is that the Rams might be trading up to draft Matthew Stafford’s eventual successor in Los Angeles, but apparently, that’s not the case.

According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Rams are interested in trading into the top 10 to target a position other than quarterback.

This is an interesting twist to the Rams’ attempt to trade up, as they could only be targeting one of the top-three wide receivers in the draft class.

Marvin Harrison Jr. is expected to be the first non-quarterback to be taken in this draft, as most draft experts believe he’ll land with the Arizona Cardinals at No. 4 overall.

After Harrison, Malik Nabers, out of LSU, is arguably the next-best option at wide receiver, followed by University of Washington star Rome Odunze.

Even though the Rams already have one of the best receiving corps in the game, with Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua leading the way, Los Angeles could be targeting one of these three wideouts, making the Rams a scary sight for any opposing defense.
