Dramatic footage of boat chase released as Spanish police seize huge drug haul | World News

Spanish police have released dramatic footage of a boat chase in which officers seized a huge haul of drugs and arrested more than 60 people.

Spain The Civil Guard has shared images that show one of its speedboats chasing a boat during the operation against drug trafficking.

Police said 63 people have been arrested after officers seized more than 12,000 kilos of hashish and 630 kilos of cocaine along the Andalusian coast and the Guadalquivir River.

Police also seized 13 vessels as part of Operation Arrow, which was created to tackle drug trafficking organizations operating along Spain’s southern coast.

The Civil Guard said that more than 12,000 liters of fuel have been seized as part of the operation, which reduces the logistical capacity of criminal groups operating in the area.

The force shared images of some of the drugs seized, fuel confiscated and boats lifted from the water with cranes.

One image appears to show two men detained in a small boat.

Police said a stolen vehicle used for criminal purposes was also seized.

Operation Arrow began on April 1 and various Civil Guard units participate, including maritime, land and air units.
