Now, a report from Deadline shows that the future is not looking good for All American: Homecoming. According to sources, a season 4 renewal is looking shaky for All American: Homecomingwith the show’s budget having already been reduced, and fewer overall viewers tuning in to watch the show. “Despite the groundwork being laid by
All American
and the fact that
All American: Homecoming
has a strong cast, the spinoff show has not captured imaginations in the same way as its sister show.”

While no decision has been made, the network moving All American: Homecoming from summer, to air after All American season 6 wraps, is not a good sign. A lot will depend on the run All American: Homecoming season 3 hasas well as whether The CW believes the show can evolve enough to capture a fresh audience, while also retaining its existing viewership.

Despite the groundwork being laid by All Americanand the fact that All American: Homecoming has a strong cast, the spinoff show has not captured imaginations in the same way as its sister show. There could be several reasons that have contributed to this, such as a departure from the core character base that worked so well in All Americanas well as the move away from football, which could have caused a dip in interest too.

Whie All American continues to go from strength to strength, and remains one of the network’s flagship shows, All American: Homecoming faces a dicey and uncertain future. The earlier seasons are available to stream on Netflix, which could help to bolster interest in the series, but this may not be enough to bring in more viewers and salvage the show’s chances of a fourth season. For now, viewers of All American: Homecoming will have to remain hopeful the show gets renewed.
