In an update on Monday, ‘The Predator’ wrote on X, “…Why is life so unfair and merciless? Why does life always take what we don’t have? I’m fucking tired.” This cryptic tweet left many puzzled until the former UFC champion followed up with the devastating news from his family.

Things were looking up for Francis Ngannou after he left the UFC. The 37-year-old made a lucrative deal with the PFL and had entered into the boxing scene as well. He fought top names such as Tyson Fury and Anthony Johusa within a year, earning substantial paychecks both times. My little boy, my mate, my partner Kobe was full of life and joy. Now, he’s laying without life. I shouted his name over and over but he’s not responding,” Ngannou wrote.

He further added, “How do you deal with such a thing? How can you live with it? Please help me if you have any idea because I really don’t know what to do and how to deal with this.”

There have been no updates on the reason behind the tragic passing of Ngannou’s baby boy, who was reportedly born in January last year. Saudi Arabia’s royal crown adviser, Turki Alalshikh took to his X handle to add a few words about his friend, “My heart goes out to @francis_ngannoufor his loss. May his son’s soul rest in peace.”

Ngannou’s MMA coach Erik Nicksick stated, “It’s been a heavy few days, words can’t express the pain we all feel for the Ngannou family during this time.” His former UFC colleague Henry Cejudo said, “I’m so sorry for your loss Francis.
