How Leslie Fhima Is Rubbing Her Happiness In Gerry Turners Face

The Golden Bachelor runner-up Leslie Fhima is finding ways to rub her happiness in her ex Gerry Turner’s face. 72-year-old Gerry was the first The Golden Bachelor lead and won America’s heart with his charm, humor, vulnerability, and desire to find love in his sunset years. Gerry started out with 22 women in the process but narrowed it down to Leslie, Theresa Nist, and Faith Martin, with whom he went on hometown dates. He told Leslie and Faith that he loved them on the hometown dates, but sent Faith home, leaving Leslie and Theresa to join him on overnight dates in Costa Rica.

Leslie, a 64-year-old fitness instructor and entrepreneur won Gerry’s heart with her similar sense of humor to Gerry and their romantic chemistry. The pair went on a notable ATV and hot tub date during The Golden Bachelor season 1, and Gerry’s smittenness for Leslie was obvious throughout the experience. Gerry didn’t tell Theresa he loved her until Costa Rica, and the pair grew significantly closer during their one-on-one date. In the end, Gerry chose Theresa and they were married on January 4, 2024, in a live televised event. Leslie was in attendance at the wedding.

In Costa Rica, Gerry pulled out all the stops to make Leslie feel comfortable, loved, and protected. Leslie has a checkered past when it comes to dating and lamented that she never chose the right men and had been treated badly in the past. She let her guard down with Gerry and felt confident in their relationship upon leaving their fantasy suite date and Gerry having an overnight date with Theresa next. However, after his date with Theresa, Gerry came to Leslie’s room to let her know that he would not be choosing to propose to her (via Bachelor Nation.)

Leslie was devastated and chastised Gerry for making her believe he would choose her. The pair had an emotional exchange as Gerry tried to apologize and Leslie called him out for being inauthentic. Gerry defended his love for Leslie and said his decision was not easy to make and he didn’t know he was going to choose that way beforehand. In a shocking turn of events, Gerry and Theresa announced their divorce on Good Morning Americajust three months after they wed each other. While the pair kept it very friendly and positive, signs point to there having been more going on behind the scenes. The pair relayed that they had been living separately, with Theresa in New Jersey and Gerry in Indiana, and they could not figure out how to combine their lives. Gerry and Theresa also live different lifestyles, with Theresa still working as a successful woman in finance and Gerry being retired.

Gerry was also exposed as a liar and a problematic partner by his ex-girlfriend shortly after the season aired, which could have played into Gerry and Theresa’s split. Moreover, there was talk about Gerry and Theresa having discord over a prenup. In any case, the door to Gerry’s heart could once again be open for Leslie, but it does not appear as though she’s interested, and is instead happy on her own.

Leslie Has Moved On

Leslie recently gave an interview with bachelornation.com in which she described that she was not dating. However, that interview was before news of Gerry and Theresa’s split was announced.

“No dating updates recently. I actually have not been dating. I haven’t really had that many people ask me out or try to set me up. I thought it would be a little bit more abundant, but that’s ok.”

In lieu of dating, Leslie has been having a blast. She was recently on Celebrity Family Feud with some of the other The Golden Bachelor women, and she has been busy spending time with family. She even attended a Minnesota Timberwolves NBA game with her family last night. Leslie does not seem to be affected by Gerry anymore and has seemingly healed from the trauma of the breakup while Gerry is going through turmoil now. Leslie is showing off her happy lifestyle and the closeness she enjoys with her loved ones. Since Leslie is still single, she would make a great choice to be The Golden Bachelorette.
