Most of the talk around the NFL when it comes to quarterbacks with this particular draft is where LSU’s Jayden Daniels and North Carolina’s Drake Maye will go after USC’s Caleb Williams is presumably taken by the Chicago Bears at No. 1 overall.

But, the next wave of quarterbacks after those three names is the crop of Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy, Washington’s Michael Penix Jr., and Oregon’s Bo Nix.

Where will they go?

Fans may have gotten an answer about one of those players from insider Benjamin Allbright.

“Yeah, I believe he’s (Penix Jr.) going to the Raiders…I just don’t believe it’s at 13,” Allbright tweeted early Thursday.

At pick No. 13, the Raiders could be within striking distance of a trade up.

They might want to think about doing that considering the Bears, Commanders, Patriots, Vikings, and Broncos are all quarterback-needy teams that will look to get who they want.

Also, a team like the New York Giants could decide to take a quarterback to replace Daniel Jones.

It is hard to say.

But, Las Vegas doesn’t want to risk being the odd team out.

If they are interested in Penix Jr., they’ll try to be aggressive to get him

The Heisman Trophy finalist had a fantastic 2023 season en route to helping the Washington Huskies make a national championship game appearance.

The First-Team All-American is arguably the best pure thrower in this draft.

If Las Vegas selected him, it would be fascinating to watch he and Davante Adams work some magic through the air.
