Israel takes control of Gaza side of Rafah crossing

The Israeli military took control of the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing on the border with Egypt after Netanyahu’s government rejected a ceasefire proposal brokered by Egypt and Qatar that was approved by Hamas, which included the release of hostages.
