Joe Biden has said he would be willing to debate his presumptive Republican opponent Donald Trump before the presidential election in November.
The president of the United States spoke with radio host Howard Stern on Sirius XM, who asked him mr biden if he debated Mr. Trumpto which he replied: “I’m somewhere. I don’t know when. But I’m happy to debate with him.”
His response is the clearest indication Biden has given about the prospect of a showdown between the two, having evaded the idea until now.
In March, Biden entertained the idea when he said a debate with Trump “depends on his behavior.”
Meanwhile, the Trump campaign has said for some time that the former president is ready to debate Joe Biden at any time, while campaign adviser Chris LaCivita responded to Biden’s comments about X, saying: “Okay, let’s get him ready.” !”.
Mr. Trump, who is currently in trial on hush money chargesresponded to the president on his Truth Social platform saying, “Everyone knows he doesn’t really mean it, but in case he does say it, I mean, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE.”
Trump suggested he was ready to debate as soon as “Monday night” while rallying in the swing state of Michigan during the week.

He also allowed two more afternoons to organize the debate, since during this time he will not attend the court proceedings.
The pair clashed twice before the 2020 election, with one notable moment during the first debate as an exasperated Mr. Biden said, “Will you shut up, man?” as Trump spoke over him while trying to answer a question about the Supreme Court.

Trump has not participated in any of the Republican primary debates this cycle.
The Commission on Presidential Debates has already announced the dates and locations of the three general election debates between the presidential candidates: September 16 in Texas, October 1 in Virginia and October 9 in Salt Lake City.
