The Philadelphia 76ers had two chances to beat the New York Knicks.

They’re now down 0-2.

The loss in Game 2 was particularly painful for Nick Nurse’s team, as they were up late in the fourth quarter before a bit of a collapse happened.

Nonetheless, Joel Embiid still likes their chances.

Following the loss, the reigning MVP stated that his team should be up 2-0, adding that they’ll be just fine (Via PHLY Sixers).

We should be 2-0. We’re good. We’re going to win this series,” Embiid said.

This series has been a back-and-forth battle thus far.

Two strong and physical teams going at it with two great tacticians calling the shots from the sidelines; that’s everything the fans want to see at this time in the season.

Going down 0-2 isn’t the end of the world, and we’ve seen multiple teams coming back from these deficits in the past, but the Sixers need to take care of business and close out games the same way they play in the second and third quarters.

They should be able to get at least one win at home now that the series is heading to the City of Brotherly Love.

Then again, it’s become painfully evident that Embiid isn’t anywhere close to 100%, and that’s going to make it very tough on them.

When healthy, it’s hard to think of a more dominant two-way player than Joel Embiid in today’s game.

But with him limping and hobbling around, the table is set for the Knicks to take Philly by storm and take care of business at Wells Fargo Center as well.
