Kendrick Perkins Was Not Happy After Celtics’ Game 2 Loss To Heat

Time and time again, the Boston Celtics have lost games they should’ve won.

Blown leads, slow starts, or a lack of adjustments have led Joe Mazzulla’s team to failure when the lights have gotten a little too bright.

That was the case again on Wednesday night when the Miami Heat beat them by double digits despite being 14.5-point road underdogs.

That’s why former Celtics player Kendrick Perkins took to Twitter to call them out again.

He stated that every single time he puts a little trust in them, they drop the ball.

Perkins claimed that there was no excuse to lose to an undermanned Heat team missing Terry Rozier and Jimmy Butler, stating that contending teams facing an injury-riddled team should just ‘tuck them in and read them a bedtime story’ before putting them to sleep.

While he acknowledged that the Celtics might still win the series, there was simply no point in allowing the Heat to head back home with homecourt advantage and play with house money.

You never want to give coach Erik Spoelstra a chance.

He’s coached circles around Joe Mazzulla for two years straight now, regardless of who’s on the floor and who’s not.

The Celtics are the better team, at least when it comes to their personnel, and they had the best record in the league for a reason.

But none of that matters come playoff time, and the record shows 1-1 now, so they’ll have to rally together and respond before another disappointing end to a promising season.
