Since head coach Dan Campbell took over the Detroit Lions sidelines, the team has been on a meteoric rise that culminated in the franchise’s first home playoff game in decades.

The Lions dispatched the Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card Round and later beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to advance to the NFC Championship Game.

Although Detroit crumbled down the stretch against the San Francisco 49ers, their season should still be considered a massive success and a harbinger of things to come.

Offensive coordinator Ben Johnson has done an outstanding job maximizing the talent on the roster, including Jared Goff who played the best football of his career last season.

Goff was considered a castaway in the blockbuster deal that sent Matthew Stafford to the Rams, but he has rediscovered his game with the Lions and appears set to be their starting quarterback going forward.

Amon-Ra St. Brown had no problem letting the world know that he thinks Goff deserves a massive payday via RG3 and The Ones.

“He is worth every single dollar that he gets. I can’t wait for him to get paid and be a part of this future (in Detroit) for a long time,” St. Brown said.

Goff might be one of the more underrated quarterbacks at this point given his uneven production in previous years, but he’s looked like a completely different player since arriving in Detroit.

The former No. 1 overall pick has positioned himself nicely for a big raise and it feels like a matter of time until the two sides agree on an extension.
