Coming into the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft on Thursday, the draft class is said to be one of the most talented in recent memory when it comes to the wide receiver position, with a lot of players at the position potentially being game-changers on the NFL level.

Although there’s a lot of talent at wideout in this year’s draft, the top prospect at wide receiver is arguably Marvin Harrison Jr. out of Ohio State, who is the son of the legendary Indianapolis Colts wideout of the same name.

With the first three picks in the upcoming draft expected to be quarterbacks, with Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and Drake Maye possibly being taken in order with the first three picks, Harrison is the first non-quarterback expected to be taken on Thursday night in Detroit.

Ahead of potentially being taken at No. 4 overall by the Arizona Cardinals to be star quarterback Kyler Murray’s top target downfield, Harrison talked about what he learned from his father, a Hall of Famer and a one-time Super Bowl champion, via SiriusXM NFL Radio.

“You see what it takes to be a professional,” he said.

Harrison’s father, who accomplished so much on the NFL level, gave him an edge in playing the game in his journey to the league.

Along with Harrison potentially taken early, other notable wide receivers who could go near the top of the draft on Thursday include Malik Nabers from LSU and University of Washington star Rome Odunze.
