Mysterious fireball with sparks lights up sky over China ‘traveling 1,000 miles’ before splitting up and disappearing

A MYSTERIOUS burning fireball lit up the sky over China before shattering and disappearing.

Shocking footage captured by Beijing residents showed the strange object falling from the night sky before breaking into smaller pieces as it approached the ground.

The dazzling object burned so brightly that for a brief moment it transformed China’s night sky into day.

Interestingly, a similar fireball fell from the sky that same night in Gansu province, nearly 1,000 miles from Beijing.

The meteorite-like object apparently traveled from Gansu to the Chinese capital before breaking up and disappearing into the night sky.

While some people said it was a celestial object that came from space, others speculated that it could be part of the debris that fell from the International Space Station.

Excited viewers who watched the event flocked to social media platforms to share their thoughts.

One of those people said: “It’s not a meteorite, it’s space junk.”

Another shared: “She was having a barbecue outside that day and I was lucky enough to see her. I didn’t have time to pick up the phone though.”

A third asked: “Was that a meteorite that fell?”

Just a few days ago, a similar fireball believed to be part of space debris was seen falling over California.

Experts claimed the dazzling object was a piece of a Chinese spacecraft.

It left many people in Southern California worried because they didn’t know what they were witnessing, leading to UFO conspiracy theories.

The strange sight was visible from the Sacramento area to San Diego.

A total of 81 people reported having seen the event, according to the American Meteor Society (AMS).

Astrophysicist and satellite expert. Jonathan McDowell He soon tweeted that the sighting was a piece of the falling rocket.

Specifically, the orbital module of China’s Shenzhou 15 spacecraft.

“This was the re-entry of the Shenzhou 15 orbital module, over Southern California around 0140 PDT on April 2,” McDowell wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

That rocket was launched into space by China in November 2022.

No one was injured, but the event sparked further discussion about space debris and the safety of space launches.

WHAT IS KESSLER SYNDROME?

Some experts fear that space debris could leave humans trapped on Earth…

  • Kessler syndrome is a concept devised by NASA scientist Donald J. Kessler.
  • It refers to the idea that a space debris explosion chain reaction could create so much space debris in low Earth orbit that we would be trapped on Earth.
  • It could also mean that we wouldn’t use satellites because they would break up during collisions.
  • The theory is based on the fact that there are already millions of micrometeoroids orbiting the Earth, along with all the new man-made elements we are putting there.
  • A piece of small space rock colliding at high speed could cause an explosive amount of damage.
  • This could trigger a chain reaction of space debris explosion, leaving Earth’s orbit littered with satellite fragments and space debris.
  • Services like GPS and television depend on satellites, so Kessler syndrome could change people’s lives forever.
  • Once a space debris explosion reaction begins, it could take dozens of years before it ends.
  • This could ruin safe space travel.
The mysterious object was seen in both Beijing and Gansu, a province 1,600 kilometers from the Chinese capital.
