The New York Knicks beat the Indiana Pacers in the opening game of the Eastern Conference semifinals on Monday night and Jalen Brunson was a major part of that victory.

He scored 43 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists during the game and was once again the most important player for the Knicks.

On “First Things First,” Nick Wright gave Brunson some serious praise, saying he is better than Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns and Damian Lillard of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Wright listed multiple reasons why he prefers Brunson over Booker and Lillard, noting that Brunson has been sensational since joining the Knicks.

He has put up monster numbers night after night, including during these playoffs.

He has now scored at least 40 points in the last four games and it looks like he isn’t slowing down at all.

Brunson has risen to the occasion and is leading his team through tough competition.

The Knicks had their work cut out for them against the Philadelphia 76ers but Brunson’s scoring and leadership guided his team to the second round.

Now they are taking on the Pacers and Game 1 made it clear that they will also be difficult.

But Brunson was ready for them and he had yet another masterclass performance.

For the last few months, many people have predicted that the Eastern Conference Finals could be between the Knicks and Boston Celtics.

If that comes to pass, it’ll give Brunson his biggest challenge yet.

However, it’ll also give him a chance to show the entire NBA world again that he’s perhaps the best guard in the league right now.

Brunson isn’t just winning in the playoffs; he’s sending a message and really making an impact on millions.
