Patrick Mahomes Reveals Hilarious Reason Why NFL Defenses Can’t Catch Him as Chiefs QB Brags About Being ‘Slow’

In his recent interview with Complex, the Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes gave us a look into his off-season life and addressed fan’s tweets directed towards him. While some of those messages took a jab at Mahomes, others just saw him for what he’s great at, football! Despite his prowess on the field, the 28-year-old declared that he’s not fast enough.

One of the comments addressed to the Super Bowl Champ said“When Mahomes needs to scramble for X yards, he can always dial up X+1. With a straight face, he admitted that he runs “scared” to make sure that he always stays ahead of the defenders.

“This is the truest thing we’ve read so far. I’m not fast, but I run scared, so I’m always one step faster than the guy chasing me, ” said the QB and added, “You’ll never see me making these big, long, like 40-yard touchdown runs. If I can run and just get far enough away to get the 1 down to get out of bounds or slide, that’s my go-to.”
