Scottish giant Paul Craig is ready to scream again at UFC 301 where he will face hometown hero Caio Borralho. ‘Bearjew’ started his UFC career in the light heavyweight division but after struggling a bit, Craig decided to try his luck in the middleweight division. As of 2024, Paul Craig is ranked the 13th-best middleweight fighter in the UFC.

His second recent loss came against Johnny Walker when they fought each other back in UFC 283. Walker knocked out ‘BearJew’ in the very first round clinching the victory. His most recent loss came against Brenden ‘All In’ Allen, Craig lost that fight by way of a rear-naked choke in the third round. Paul Craig might be on a losing streak right now but there was a time when he was embracing the taste of a winning streak as well. His reign started when he first fought against Mauricio Rua back in 2019. The fight ended in a draw but Craig understood that he had to change his tactics to win. His next fight was scheduled for Gadzhimurad Antigulov in July 2020.

‘Bearjew’ took the Russian to a spiral and submitted him in the very first round through a triangular choke. This was the start of his winning streak. His next fight was again scheduled against Mauricio Rua, however, this time, Craig had a better plan.’BearJew’ knocked out ‘Shogun’ in the second round to clinch the victory.

His next fight was against Jamahal Hill. The stakes were against Craig but he changed the tide when he dislocated ‘SweetDreams’ hand for a TKO win in the very first round. His final fight in his winning streak was against Nikita Krylov and he won that bout by way of triangle choke in the very first round. Well, Craig had a four-fight winning streak and interestingly, if we keep aside the winning streak, he has yet to win two fights in a row.
