President Raisi made the remarks on Saturday at a ceremony to open Iran Expo 2024, the sixth edition of the exhibition of Iran’s export capabilities.
“The evil plans to isolate Iran have not succeeded and never will succeed. “This shows that Iran with its material and spiritual reserves and its efficient and determined human resources and with initiatives and creativity and with the benefit of new technologies can have innovations for the world in various fields and for the world,” she said.
President Raisi stated that the Iran Expo is a benchmark that shows that the country has managed to “turn threats into opportunities,” referring to the sanctions orchestrated by the United States against Iran for decades.
He said imposing sanctions is a declaration of war, but added that Iran can overcome embargoes by incorporating local knowledge and boosting its production and export capabilities.
“Sanctions are a type of war, but not military, a war that deprives a nation of what it can achieve,” he said.
