There were several marquee prospects heading into the 2024 NFL Draft that took up a lot of media attention.

One of those players was Brock Bowers, who was viewed as a high-caliber tight end prospect.

Many believed Bowers could sneak into the top 10, given his dominance throughout college and his ability to make highlight plays every week.

Bowers is similar to players like Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews, tight ends who can certainly block but are much more well-known for their receiving prowess.

He might have fallen in the draft compared to what people predicted coming into the first night, but it was quickly made clear that the Las Vegas Raiders were excited to select him.

GM Tom Telesco recently appeared on Sirius XM NFL Radio, where he highlighted what the team saw in Bowers.

“We are looking to add some more juice to our roster and thought (Brock Bowers) could fit that role,” Telesco said.

The Raiders struggled to gain traction on offense last year, especially since their quarterback situation varied throughout the season.

While they still have some quarterback questions to answer, adding Bowers is certainly a step in the right direction for this team.

Players like Bowers and Davante Adams can make their quarterback look better, which could be a necessary trait in 2024 for the Raiders if they have another tough season from their quarterback.

It remains to be seen if Aidan O’Connell, Gardner Minshew, or someone else will be their starter, but for now, the team can be confident that they have a great prospect like Bowers to join their roster.
