It seems like Rudy Gobert might not be the most popular guy in the NBA. But he definitely has a consistent record among players for being the most overrated. The Athletic was back with its anonymous player pool and, once again, Gobert ended up being the frontrunner for being an overrated athlete. Many around the league feel that his defensive fame is greatly overstated. And at the same time, his offensive faults are pain points.
But watching the repetition of the same story seems to have finally gotten to the Frenchman’s pregnant girlfriend. Call it pregnancy hormones or just pure incredulity at the stupidity of it all, but she took to social media to defend the Timberwolves star passionately. In an Instagram post, Julia Bonilla hit back at all the haters.
“My partner is the most dedicated, focused, hard-working person I have ever met. He hasn’t stolen anything from anyone and deserves all the respect for his determination and commitment to his career,” the editor/co-host of blog/podcast Journey said.
Unfortunately, a huge chunk thinks otherwise.
