Below Deck Mediterranean fans have been anxiously awaiting the trailer for the ninth season of the show. Now it’s finally here and includes more new crew members than familiar faces. Fans will be happy to know that Captain Sandy Yawn will be returning, and so will Aesha Scott. Additionally, Elena Dubaich also makes her grand return after an extended absence.

Of course, this means that many fan favorites from the previous season of Below Deck Med won’t be setting sail this time around. So, there’s no Tumi, Kyle, or Natalya. None of the other crossover castmates from season eight will appear either. Still, this looks to be a dynamic season of the show that mixes crew drama and romances with insane behavior from the guests.

According to AND! News, the returning crew members are joined by stew Bri Muller, Chef Johnathan Shillingford, and Bosun John Maclean. The deckhands for the season are Joe Bradley, Nathan Gallager, and Gael Cameron.

This dynamic of brand-new crew members and people who have gotten used to working together will prove interesting. As fans can see from the trailer, the difference in experience levels comes into play when situations get tough. You can also see Captain Sandy talking to one of the newbies and saying“You need to figure it out, or you’re both gone.”

The trailer for Below Deck Med also shows Aesha being excited about her “homecoming.” As fans know, she’s been the chief stew on Below Deck Down Under for the last two seasons.

The new season of Below Deck Mediterranean premieres on Bravo on June 3, and fans can stream it the next day on Peacock. Those who need to catch up can watch the series on the streaming platform.

So, are you excited about a new season of Below Deck Med? The cast seems like they’re both prepared for the difficulties of managing a ship and there to have a good time while at sea. Still, many will be sad to not see more people returning.
