Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors has been a transcendent player for about a decade now, and he has a trophy case that only keeps growing.

He has four NBA championships, two regular-season MVP awards, a NBA Finals MVP, and two scoring titles, and at age 35, he’s still going strong.

On Thursday, he added a new award to his collection — the NBA Clutch Player of the Year award for this season, per NBA Communications.

The Clutch Player of the Year award is a new honor the league started to give out last year, and De’Aaron Fox of the Sacramento Kings won the first such award.

This year, the two other finalists were Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Chicago Bulls’ DeMar DeRozan.

In past years, Curry’s ability to produce in the clutch was questioned, but his reputation in such situations has done a 180 since.

Curry’s numbers this year were down a bit compared to past seasons, but he still put up 26.4 points and 5.1 assists a game while shooting 40.8 percent from 3-point range.

However, team-wise, it was a very frustrating year for him.

His Warriors got off to a poor start, only to surge a couple of times in the second half of the season, which led some to feel they may have become a dark-horse team in the Western Conference.

They only managed to finish 10th in the West, which meant they had to win two play-in tournament games to make the playoffs, and they were routed in the play-in tourney by the Kings.

As a result, Curry and crew have been watching the playoffs from home.

This will be a pivotal season for the Warriors, as Klay Thompson, Curry’s long-term backcourt mate, will be a free agent, and they need an infusion of young talent to return to the playoffs.
