TOKYO– Ramen noodles are so popular that they have become one of the reasons to visit Japan. But ramen can also be easily cooked at home, especially if you can find the ingredients at your neighborhood Asian grocery store.
A Japanese cookbook author whose name is Rii believes that food should be more than delicious: it should be easy to prepare.
Her book, “Lunches Children Love,” is about making cute bento lunches filled with smiling faces and food animals. And she shares adult recipes on her Instagram account (Japanese only), including healthy vegetarian rice porridge and curries.
Rii shared this ramen recipe with The Associated Press. Use packaged noodles, as making ramen noodles from scratch is a long and complicated process.
