THREE people have died after the car they were driving crashed into a 7ft crocodile and crashed into a tree.
The van, carrying seven people, veered off course after encountering the giant reptile in Mexico.
Four other passengers who were in the vehicle at the time are now in the hospital.
Janet Guadalupe, Ramón Misael and Cristian Eduardo, all between 20 and 22 years old, died in the horrific crush.
The driver, who was driving at night on a coastal road, tried to swerve when he saw the crocodile.
But they collided with the beast and ended up crashing into a tree.
The crocodile had probably washed up from nearby wetlands in Eldorado, Sinaloa.
He was later found dead with horrific injuries on the road.
