The free-agent market in the NFL dried up weeks ago, but there is still an intriguing wide receiver who is available on the market: Tyler Boyd.

Boyd has reportedly been in Los Angeles this week to meet with the Los Angeles Chargers, who badly need a reliable wide receiver for new head coach Jim Harbaugh’s regime, but he isn’t done meeting with prospective employers.

Per Jeremy Fowler, he will meet with the Tennessee Titans later this week.

The Titans lost star running back Derrick Henry to the Baltimore Ravens this offseason, but they did bring in wide receiver Calvin Ridley and running back Tony Pollard, and all of a sudden their offensive attack is looking relatively solid.

Boyd, who has played each of his eight NFL seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, has career totals of 6,000 yards and 31 touchdowns, and last season, he put up 667 yards and two touchdowns while playing next to Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

His numbers likely took a bit of a hit because of the multiple injuries Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow had to deal with starting in training camp.

The AFC has gotten even more competitive this offseason, and in the AFC South, the Titans will have to contend with the improved Houston Texans, a solid Jacksonville Jaguars squad, and a decent Indianapolis Colts team.

As recently as 2019, the Titans were in the AFC Championship Game, but they have gone through a change at quarterback, and reinforcements will be needed for them to become very competitive again.
