But the four-time Mr. Universe, Mike O’Hearn, even at his age, still maintains a small waist with an exceptional physique, giving younger guys a tough run for their money. Not everyone can fulfill this dream, but the 55-year-old is here to share his wisdom with you.

The former Mr. California recently uploaded a video snippet on his YouTube channel, sharing how he can maintain a small waist despite his age. The Titan shared this wisdom with his disciples from his program, Train with Titan. Let’s find out O’Hearn’s “secret for a tight waist.”

Titan’s secret to a superhero-like small waist

The former powerlifter disclosed his approach and said, “I don’t train them all year long until I start my cut, and then I over-train.” He continued and added, “It’s usually nine months off-season, and so than during those three months I over-train to keep a small waist.” The Titan emphasized training your muscles differently.

The former powerlifter highlighted that he trains the “roundabout” of abs when he is doing deadlifts, bench presses, and squats. He further shed light on the fact that he doesn’t want to train the muscles directly and grow them. The Titan explains the reason behind not training the muscle directly and says, “That’s not what I want. that 40 years of doing abs, yeah, what would that look like? Yeah, smileage, have it toned down; it’s like a sprinter.”

Moving forward in the video, the four-time Mr. Universe took the example of a sprinter. He says, “A sprinter still can develop muscle, yeah, but a sprinter has those beautiful legs, right, those strong, sleek legs.” Continuing, “That’s what I want; that’s the overtraining part.” In the same way, he also shared his approach to gaining bigger biceps. The former powerlifter’s new movement for bicep curls

The Titan had an arms day with his follower Tony from his Train with Titan program. They had a gruesome arms day. The former powerlifter paid special attention to the unilateral moments this time. They did single-hand bicep curls and fixed his follower’s form, advising him not to lift his elbow while doing the reps. They both did a few reps and then the Titan did the last set by adding hammer curl movements to the bicep curls.

This increased his time under tension and provided optimal gains. This is not all to it. Witnessing the 22-inch enormous arms of the former powerlifter, his wife made a hilarious remark and said, “His biceps look pregnant for sure.” Tony and O’Hearn wrapped up their workout by doing unilateral bicep curls but with a rod.
