The Ukrainian bombardment was launched in Putin’s favorite vacation region, where the tyrant has two sprawling palaces and a presidential ski lodge, and from where he rules Russia during the summer months.

Fighter jets and airport buildings were reportedly damaged in the strikes at the Kushchevskaya military airfield.

A warehouse allegedly containing parts of aerial bombs used by Russia against Ukraine was seen in a video damaged.

The planes were also damaged, according to sources cited by the independent media outlet ASTRA, after a fire broke out at the airfield where the Su-27 and Su-34 fighter jets are stored.

And Ukrainian drones attacked the Ilsky and Slavyansky oil refineries in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, also in the Krasnodar region.

Fires broke out at both facilities with reports of significant damage.

Slavyansk refinery managers said: “The refinery has partially stopped operating. Ten drones attacked the refinery last night.

“They entered, among other things, oil refining facilities.”

Some 68 kamikaze drones were launched over the region overnight.

The Russian Defense Ministry suggested that they had shot down all the drones, despite the obvious consequences of the Ukrainian attacks.

The Russian Defense Ministry said: “Over the past night, attempts by the kyiv regime to carry out terrorist attacks using aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation were stopped.

“Sixty-six Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed and intercepted by air defense systems that were on duty in the Krasnodar region, and two more UAVs were destroyed on the Crimean Peninsula.”

A total of 34 Russian missiles were launched in Ukraine, including four Kinzhals or hypersonic daggers.

Thermal power plants were attacked in the Dnepropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions, with four plants floors allegedly suffered damage.

Russia is now seeking to attack Ukrainian rail links to stop an expected new wave of Western munitions arriving at the front.

Several key rail links have been affected in recent days.

The overnight attack in Ukraine came as Russia launched a hypersonic missile attack on Ukrainian power plants.

NATO sent fighter jets to neighboring Poland in a cautious move as Putin’s forces used its Tu-95MS and Tu-22M3 strategic bombers.
