When Danish police stopped a woman, she locked herself in her car and refused to talk.

Copenhagen, Denmark — A routine traffic stop on a highway south of Denmark’s capital turned into an unusual confrontation when a 26-year-old woman locked her car and refused to speak to the police officer who had stopped her, police said. authorities on Thursday.

Police in Central and West Zealand said in their daily report that the woman, who was not identified, was originally stopped near the town of Koege on Wednesday for talking on a cell phone while driving and not wearing a seat belt.

Police also noted that his car’s tires were bald, it had no rear window and the vehicle’s insurance had expired, according to the report.

To open the car, the agents had to call a mechanic. Once this was done, they detained his wife and took her to a nearby hospital for a blood test.

Inside the car, police found two folding knives, which led to additional charges, they said. In Denmark, police can search a vehicle when they stop it for a traffic violation.
