Two days of the 2024 NFL Draft are in the books, with four rounds to go on the final day, Saturday.
3 Best Steals Available to Vikings on Day 3 of Draft
The Minnesota Vikings are scheduled to pick five times on the draft’s final day after selecting quarterback J.J. McCarthy and EGDE rusher Dallas Turner on Thursday night.
Minnesota has a couple of roster needs, and these are players who can be considered steals for those spots, ranked in ascending order (No. 1 = top steal).
3. Christian Boyd (DT)
Northern Iowa
Sadly, Minnesota watched a run of defensive tackles on Friday night. All the really promising ones are basically gone. Boyd, though, somewhere on Day No. 3 would be a nice consolation prize.
VT’s Adam New recently detailed about Boyd: “The 6’4,’ 317-pound Boyd has six seasons of college experience. He may have played at a small school but has been getting NFL buzz since using his push-pull move to win a bunch of reps at the Shrine Bowl. Boyd has real ‘sleeper’ potential, hence the swarm of teams around him as we approach the draft. With two picks in the fourth round, the Vikings could be well-placed to make a move for him. When Day 3 of the drafts starts, Boyd will be a name to keep an eye on.”
2. Qwan’tez Stiggers (CB)

Pro Football Network’s Tony Catalina wrote about the 22-year-old in January, “Qwan’tez Stiggers is a truly unique story, but make no mistake about it — he can ball. The CFL product has come in and shown the type of ability and approach to fieldwork you would expect from a player who has had the benefit of already being a professional athlete before this.”
“He has been sticky in coverage, has mirrored WRs in 1v1s, and has shown the ability to play multiple schemes going back to his Toronto Argonaut days. It’s only the second practice, but Stiggers has answered many questions scouts may have had for him coming into the week. He should continue to elevate his stock through the rest of the week,” Catalina added about Stiggers in the Shrine Bowl.

Stiggers may also be available to Minnesota in undrafted free agency, not unlike Luiji Vilain in 2022 or Ivan Pace Jr. last year.
1. Isaac Guerendo (RB)
Louisville
Aaron Jones loosened the Vikings’ urgency for a running back fix, but he’s only scheduled to be in town for a year. He’ll also turn 30 in December. So, Guerendo could long-term RB solution, at least for depth.
VikingsTerritory’s Janik Eckardt recently wrote about Guerendo, “At 6’0″ and 221 lbs, Isaac Guerendo possesses a prototypical running back frame. His combine performance, which included a 40-yard dash of 4.33 seconds and a 41.5-inch vertical jump, opened some eyes. Because of his physical tools, pass-catching skills, and ability to explode in zone schemes, he would be a wonderful addition to the overhauled running back room.”
