Israel Adesanya Responds After Shaquille O’Neal Brands Two Time Champ “Greatest Athletes Ever” Along With Jon Jones and Kamaru Usman

The UFC currently has some of the best and most exciting fighters on the roster. As such, fans have their own picks on who they believe are the top fighters. Even NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal appears to be a fan of the UFC. During a recent conversation with Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo, the 4-time NBA champion revealed who his current favorites are in Dana White’s promotion.

There was no doubt that Jon Jones would make Shaquille O’Neal’s list of top fighters. He’s arguably the best to ever grace the Octagon. However, the former Lakers center is also a big fan of Francis Ngannou, Kamaru Usman, Sean O’Malleyand former two-time middleweight champion, Israel Adesanyaand calls them the greatest athletes in all of sports.

“I’m watching you (Kamaru Usman), of course. I’m watching Adesanya (and) an old boy from Phoenix (Sean O’Malley)… He’s a bad boy too. Francis (Ngannou) had a tough fight… (and) of course, Jon ‘Bones’ Jones,” Shaquille O’Neal said on ‘Pound 4 Pound with Kamaru and Henry‘. “I am watching all the top fighters. You guys are probably the greatest athletes ever… the way you train, the way you get hit, knocked out, knocking people out, you guys are the best athletes.”

Israel Adesanya garnered the attention of ‘Shaq’ with these comments and appeared to be appreciative of it. He shared a story on Instagramwhere he shared the clip of Shaquille O’Neal talking about his favorite UFC fighters on the podcast and laying emphasis on the former NBA champion calling him and the others the “greatest athletes ever.” We will have to wait and see how others react to this compliment from O’Neal.
