Galushko reportedly shot his comrades in the heart and chest at close range while they slept yesterday in a killing spree that has shocked the Russian military.

He is said to have belonged to the howitzer artillery battalion of the 10th Tank Regiment which was positioned in the Russian-occupied Donetsk region of southeastern Ukraine.

Galushko fled with his gas-powered Kalashnikov AK-12 assault rifle.

The alleged traitor troop is believed to have originated in the Kharkiv area of Ukraine before moving to the Belgorod region of Russia, where they were later imprisoned.

Galushko was then one of hundreds of thousands of convicts recruited by Russian forces in exchange for their freedom if they survived the intense fighting on the front lines.

It is not clear why he was imprisoned.

He enlisted in the army on February 28.

In response to the massacre, the Ukrainian Telegram channel Crimean Wind wrote: “This is what every Ukrainian who has been recruited by the occupation army should do.”

A report from the Telegram channel Project BARS, linked to army reservists, called him an “animal.”

“Maybe he will try to cross to the other side (Ukraine),” an unknown informant said in an audio recording from the channel.

So far there has been no official confirmation of the murders.

However, a document has surfaced that appears to be linked to an alert to stop it.

It said: “On May 4, 2024, Junior Sergeant Galushko, according to initial information, after having killed 6 servicemen of the howitzer artillery battalion of the 10th tank regiment, disappeared with a personal AK-12 weapon from the location of the artillery control point. of the 10th tank regiment.

“The direction of movement is unknown.”

He described the ex-convict as a Russian citizen of “average build, stooped shoulders, short, dark hair with gray hair.”

“According to preliminary information, he is armed with an AK-12 assault rifle with a silent firing device.”

Military personnel are instructed: “If detected, immediately stop (…) report to the deputy chief of the General Staff for military service and military service security…”.

A report in Ukraine says he was originally Ukrainian and “was forced to fight for the Russian Federation.

“But he shot six occupants and escaped. According to Russian media, they are looking for a Ukrainian in the occupied territories.”

The 10th Tank Regiment to which Galushko belonged is known to have fought in the brutal eastern battle for Avdiivka, which Russian troops claimed in February.

The massacre in the ranks occurred while Russians were celebrating Orthodox Easter.

Meanwhile, this morning Putin paraded nuclear missile launchers, tanks and thousands of war-ready troops ahead of his triumphant Victory Day event.

The 71-year-old Russian tyrant has already had to eliminate most celebrations of May 9, the holiest day in the Russian calendar, but those in Moscow will go ahead.

The royal events will take place on Thursday under intense security, with reports suggesting the capital’s central spectacle will be scaled back.

Victory Day parades are held throughout Russia as a way to celebrate the defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II.

It is a way to show the power of the Russian military machine and generate national pride, led by a giant parade in Moscow’s Red Square overseen by Putin.

However, many regional parades have already been canceled due to “security fears.”
