Dramatic moment: A Ukrainian pilot uses an iPad to launch US missiles on a daring mission to hit Putin’s Russian radars.

UKRAINE air force pilots are using iPads in the cockpits of their planes to launch Western missiles at Russian aircraft.

The images showed the dramatic moment when a Ukrainian pilot used a plane equipped with a tablet to carry out strikes against Russian radars.

In the video, the pilot is seen carrying out “Wild Weasel” operations in a Su-27 Flanker aircraft in the air, meaning that he was provoking enemy air defenses to attack his plane with their radars.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the Flanker, which was equipped with an iPad, was carrying out attacks against Russian radars with AGM-88 high-speed anti-radiation missiles (HARMs) supplied by the United States.

The iPad, located in front of the pilot in the cockpit, displayed a navigation map and other data invisible in the video.

The tablet’s large size suggested it was used to display a variety of flight-critical data, not just GPS navigation, according to a military magazine. The war zone.

At the very least, it would allow for basic weapons. employment and help with navigation.

US Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment Dr. William LaPlante confirmed this week that the Ukrainian Air Force is using iPads to operate Western air-to-ground weapons.

He said at a forum on Wednesday: “There are also a number of… we call it ‘air-ground’, that’s what we call it euphemistically… think about the planes that the Ukrainians have, and not even the F-16s, but they have many Russian and Soviet planes.

“Working with the Ukrainians, we’ve been able to take a lot of Western weapons and run them on their planes, where the pilot basically controls them using an iPad.

“And they’re flying it conflict like a week after we deliver it to them.”

HARM bombs, Joint Direct Attack Munition Extended Range (JDAM-ER) precision-guided bombs, and French-supplied Hammer rocket-assisted bombs are likely to be used against known targets.

The United States is secretly sending missiles to Ukraine capable of deeply hitting Russia… and they have already been used to destroy an air base.

Target coordinates must be pre-programmed into the flight line before the aircraft takes off, then the pilot navigates the area, perhaps with the help of a tablet with GPS navigation.

The pilot then releases the weapon, which is guided toward the aim using its GPS-assisted inertial navigation system.

The tablets would help Ukraine by making its Soviet-era fighters compatible with weapons such as HARM, JDAM-ER, and Hammer.

Ukrainian forces rely heavily on help from the United States and its allies as they continue to fight a Russian invasion.

Earlier this month, the United States said it had supplied the Ukrainian military with 5,000 AK-47s, machine guns, sniper rifles, RPG-7s and more than 500,000 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition.

And the UK is willing to give Ukraine its flagship weapons, recently used to attack ISIS and its Iranian terrorist proxies, for the first time.

The high-precision Paveway IV bombs will be delivered as part of the UK’s largest tranche of military aid to its ally.

Each munition dropped by a fighter jet costs £30,000, carries a 500lb payload and can travel 30km in any weather and despite enemy smoke screens.

Footage released by Defense Secretary Grant Shapps showed the moment Paveway IV bombs bombed an ISIS target in Iraq.

A large explosion was heard as multiple bombs were dropped.

This week, Ukraine crashed into a Russian oil refinery, unleashing a massive inferno that destroyed one of Vladimir Putin’s trains.

Three wagons of 17, 22 and 50 tons of oil They were set on fire right next to the world famous Trans-Siberian railway line.

Giant flames and acrid black smoke engulfed the site, and the attack forced Russia to halt oil exports and import it from Belarus.
