Watch: Shohei Ohtani hits record-breaking home run vs. Mets

Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani hit an absolute tape measure job of a home run on Sunday afternoon, depositing an Adrian Houser pitch deep into the right field pavilion of Dodger Stadium to give his team a 2-0 lead.

That home run was an historic one as it was the 176th home run of Ohtani’s career.

That makes him the all-time leader in Major League Baseball history among Japanese-born players, breaking a tie with former longtime New York Yankees outfielder Hideki Matsui.

Here is a look at Ohtani’s record-breaking home run.
