WWE Provide Official Brock Lesnar Return Status Update After Raw & SmackDown Draft

It has been a really difficult 2024 for Brock Lesnar. Since his name ended up in the scandal linked to Vince McMahon, WWE has kept him away from the company. So much so that they canceled all the plans they had already laid out for him. Nevertheless, an official update emerged over his WWE status and it doesn’t provide for a positive outlook.

The Stamford-based federation has taken a decisive decision which, however, will not be forever. Triple H revealed during WrestleMania XL that Lesnar was still a part of WWE. Does it mean he is under contract? Well, that is not entirely true as he is listed on the list of free agents in the company. But fret not Lesnar fans, as several other currently active superstars also find themselves part of the same list. In fact, it is the reason behind them not being a part of the WWE Draft as well!

While the WWE usually keeps things simple, we cannot say the same about its website. And either it is because they either forget to update it or they have a different parameter set for deciding who is a free agent or who is a full-time employee. According to the free agent list on their roster page, Brock Lesnar is a free agent who’s a part of the WWE. But what’s weird is WWE United States champion Logan Paul and Tag Team champion R-Truth too are also mentioned as free agents. The other two wrestlers who find themselves as free agents are Omos and MVP.

While it is understandable for Omos and MVP, having Paul and Truth as a part of the roster list makes less sense since they hold gold in the promotion. But having The Beast as a free agent is still understandable as he does not work 365 days, unlike other wrestlers. The fact that he is still a part of the WWE page is enough to prove that the promotion still has aspirations for his future.

Initially, plans were for Lesnar to take part in the 2024 Royal Rumble. However, all plans involving him came to a halt after the former WWE Champion’s name came up in the scandal. Besides his absence from television shows, The Beast Incarnate also had to deal with other problems with WWE. The Beast found himself on the exclusion list for the popular video game WWE 2K24. Of course, the cancellation of all creative plans involving Lesnar proves a greater hindrance for the WWE star. However, Triple H’s words ring loud and clear for the WWE Universe as they dream of Lesnar’s return sometime in the near future. Nevertheless, what do you make of Brock Lesnar’s inclusion in the free agent list on the WWE website? Let us know in the comments section below.
