Miranda Lambert will headline the Dallas Cowboys’ Salvation Army Red Kettle Kickoff Halftime Show at AT&T Stadium during the team’s Thanksgiving Day game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Nov. 26. The game airs on Fox and begins at 3:30 p.m. CT (4:30 p.m. ET).
High‑profile halftime slot tied to charity tradition
The Cowboys’ annual halftime entertainment segment spotlights The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign, which the organization says has raised more than $3.4 billion over the past three decades to assist families and individuals in need. The team and The Salvation Army promote the halftime appearance as part of that fundraising tradition.
“There’s something special about how music brings people together, especially when it’s to spread joy and hope to families who need it most. The Salvation Army and the Dallas Cowboys have built an incredible tradition with the Red Kettle Kickoff, and I can’t wait to be back home in Texas this Thanksgiving to help carry it forward,” Miranda Lambert said in a press statement released Sunday.
Lambert, a Texas native, released her 10th solo studio album, Crisco, on Oct. 2. The album debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, extending Lambert’s run of top 10 entries to 11 on that chart.
Charlotte Jones, chief brand officer and co‑owner of the Dallas Cowboys, also commented in the team’s press materials, calling the Red Kettle Kickoff “one of the Dallas Cowboys’ proudest traditions” and expressing gratitude that Lambert will join the roster of performers who have appeared on the halftime stage.
