Olivia Rodrigo reclaimed the top spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart dated Oct. 31, returning to No. 1 for a third nonconsecutive week as her record you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love earned 75,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. for the tracking week ending Oct. 22.
The surge represented a 15% gain in overall units, driven largely by streaming activity. Streaming-equivalent album units made up 63,000 of the total, a 19% increase that translated to 67.14 million on-demand official streams of songs from the album. Rodrigo’s set moved from No. 2 to No. 1 and also returned to the top of the Top Streaming Albums chart for a fifth week at No. 1.
Chart context
The boost followed the Oct. 15 release of a new remix of the album’s single “Expectations” featuring Chappell Roan and an accompanying official music video. Rodrigo’s album previously spent its first two weeks at No. 1 (dated June 27 and July 4) and has remained inside the weekly top five for 19 weeks.
Zach Bryan landed at No. 2 with the eight-song release Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs, marking the singer-songwriter’s sixth project to reach the top 10. Bryan announced the project on Oct. 12 and released it on Oct. 16; it includes collaborations with Lana Del Rey and Turnpike Troubadours. Bryan’s release follows his earlier No. 1 album With Heaven on Top in January.
