Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will begin its first post-launch season at midnight ET on Nov. 6, bringing new multiplayer maps and modes, an expansion of the DMZ experience and a major integration with the free-to-play game Call of Duty: Warzone.

The Season 1 update will be available across all platforms. Players in Pacific time can access it at 9 p.m. PT on Nov. 5. The update follows the launch of Modern Warfare 4 and introduces content across the game’s multiplayer, DMZ and broader live-service systems.

New content across multiplayer and DMZ

Multiplayer will receive more than six maps during the season, along with new modes and a series of in-game events. The announced events include a Wager Match event, weapon-camo events and a Squad Up event. The season will also add rewards tied to the new activities.

DMZ players will be able to enter X01, a new Black Site map described as a network of difficult corridors containing secrets to uncover. The update also adds new enemies and orders to the mode, along with DMZ Survival Kits and other rewards.

  • Multiplayer: New maps, modes, events and rewards.
  • DMZ: The X01 Black Site, new enemies, new orders and Survival Kits.
  • Warzone: The Hajin and Zodiac maps, plus the return of Verdansk and Rebirth Island.

Weapons and Warzone integration

The new arsenal will initially include the CSG-35 submachine gun and the Cronen Osprey assault rifle. Later in the season, players will be able to pursue the JAK 12 shotgun and the ZLR Talonhawk melee weapon. The update will also add new attachments, Operator skins and weapon blueprints.

Modern Warfare 4 will become fully integrated with Warzone through the Season 1 update. Warzone will add two new maps, Hajin and Zodiac, while also bringing back Verdansk and Rebirth Island. The update includes additional modes and gameplay features for the free-to-play title.

The Call of Duty team said a separate Warzone roadmap will be published on Nov. 2. That announcement is set to detail the Warzone portion of Season 1, while the initial Season 1 briefing covers the multiplayer, DMZ and global updates arriving Nov. 6.
