Fortnite will begin its Treasure Hunters season on Nov. 1, bringing characters from the anime and manga series One Piece into Epic Games’ battle royale alongside collaborations with musicians A$AP Rocky and Lil Uzi Vert.
The update will run as a limited mini-season through Dec. 5. It will introduce a new Battle Pass, replace the current island with a smaller pirate-themed map and add a rotating set of captains who take control of locations around the island. Epic Games shared the season details in a press release.
“Chests to crack. Crews to beat. Sprites to catch. Treasure to claim.”

One Piece characters arrive in stages
Two One Piece characters, Portgas D. Ace and Nico Robin, will be included in the Battle Pass. Monkey D. Luffy, Nami and Usopp will be sold through Fortnite’s Item Shop, with the cosmetics scheduled to arrive during the season.
The Battle Pass will also include Fortnite-original characters with anime-inspired designs. Epic is adding new versions of Jonesy and Syd, as well as a redesigned version of Charlotte, a character first introduced through the Chapter 2 Season 8 Battle Pass.
- Nov. 1: Treasure Hunters begins with its new Battle Pass and island.
- Dec. 5: The mini-season is scheduled to end.
- Weekly additions: A new captain will take over a map location each week.
A smaller island with anime and music locations
The season’s island will be called Crossbones Isle. It will support up to 80 players, compared with the usual 100-player capacity for Fortnite’s Battle Royale island. The map will contain more water and locations tied to One Piece, including Arlong Park and Windmill Village.
The music collaborations will also be represented on the island. A location featuring a battleship will be associated with A$AP Rocky, while Kasane Teto and Hatsune Miku are set to receive locations as the season progresses. Hatsune Miku will appear as Cap’n Hatsune Miku, a new Outfit tied to the rotating captain theme.
Treasure Hunters follows Epic’s use of shorter seasonal formats for Fortnite. The company began introducing these mini-seasons during Chapter 4, and the format later became an annual November feature. The limited schedule gives players a shorter period to unlock the Battle Pass rewards before the season concludes on Dec. 5.
